Meditation
MEDITATION is a practice in which the individual trains the mind or induces a mode of consciousness, either to achieve some specific benefit such as mentally recognizing a content without feeling identified with that content, or as an end in itself. Although meditation takes on different meanings in different contexts and has been practiced since ancient times as a component of many religions and beliefs, it does not itself constitute a religion. The term meditation refers to a broad spectrum of practices that include techniques designed to promote total well-being, creating relaxation and awareness of proprioception and visceroception, increasing internal energy or life force, and developing compassion,_d04a07d8-9cd1-3239-9149 -20813d6c673b_ love, patience, resilience, generosity and forgiveness.
At Liceo Santa Inés, meditation is a tool of Self-esteem y asignatura of maximum intensity (5 hours per week) and is developed in two 25-minute sessions in which teachers and administrators also participate.
